While making a contact sheet, use A1 cell for First name, B1 for Last name, C1 for the phone number, and D1 for email. And, make sure to save the document into CSV file format. If you already have a contact sheet, then check that the file has .csv extension in its name. In case, you’re unable to identify the document format, open it into the Excel application and from the ‘Save As’ menu, choose CSV type and click ‘Save.’ The contact sheet is now ready to convert into vCard file.

If you’re not, then sign in to your Google account to get contacts in your Android Contact app. This way, you’ve bypassed the two more steps, creating vCard file and importing to your Android device.
The contacts added through syncing will not be added automatically to your Android device storage. If you want to store them to your hard drive too, then you’ll have to complete both steps you’ve skipped.
